Hijacking the signal

Welcome to Broadcast Hijack. Here, we will present things about this world that are hidden from most, while their eerie beauty (as we believe) should be realized by all.

To start off, let me tell you about the Poe Toaster. It is a name that's been attributed to the mysterious figure who has been visiting Edgar Allan Poe's original grave marker from 1949 to 1998 - after which the tradition's been passed on to a new Toaster - presumably, a son.

The Toaster's modus operandi is always the same. On January 19th and on that day only, the Toaster enters the graveyard in the early hours of morning, dressed up head to toe in black - with a silvery cane, no less - heading for the grave of Edgar Allan Poe. There he raises a cognac toast - always Martell's - and leaves three red roses on the grave. Sometimes he leaves notes as well - cryptic ones, not meant to ever be read by anyone else than the Addresse himself (long departed, of course).

The identity of this man has never been revealed and I don't believe a single photograph of him has surfaced. He apparently died in 1998, the tradition has been passed down to "a son" - who hasn't taken the tradition very well. He made several statements commenting recent events and this year he hasn't shown up at all.

I encourage you to do your own research on this matter.
